Dr. Snuggles and friends return for episode 74 of your guide to the truly astonishing world of softcore films, and the world’s number one podcast on that subject!
It’s the fourth and final installment of our ongoing look at Playboy’s Inside Out anthology series, and it’s just the lads again: Siobhan had a 98th birthday party to attend, and turns out she wasn’t entirely unhappy about missing this one anyway. Still, if there was ever a team of all-boys who could fill in for everyone’s favourite lady co-host, it’s Dr Snuggles, Drew, Texas Mike and Bobby from the ever wonderful Grindbin Podcast. Truly A-list. Or at least B+-list.
Inside Out 4 is not as weird and wonderful as previous volumes, but it’s also not as objectionable, on the plus side. It does feature appearances from the Raimi brothers - Ted in front of the camera, Sam behind it - and of course there's the third and final short from the delightful Joe Frank. It also features debut short films for both the great Robert Kubilos (I Like to Play Games, Embrace the Darkness II & III) and Antoine Fuqua, singularly one of the greatest action directors of the 21st century (Olympus Has Fallen, The Equalizer, Shooter). Have you seen Shooter yet, by the way? It’s one of the best action films ever - not a joke - and it feels like we talk about it every other week, and honestly it’s a lot more interesting to talk about than Inside Out 4.
